Help us commemorate torture survivors by participating in any of the three options listed by below! Or better yet, participate in ALL THREE!!!
1.See the cartoon above?! Its title is…DESIRE. If this torture survivor still had his hands, that’s what his shadow would look like. What YOU can do is….Make a dove with your hands, take a picture, post and share on facebook, twitter or wherever! And most importantly! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #iamhere where you can see on twitter how everyone else is participating!
2. Find a statistic on torture survivors, write it on a poster board, butcher paper, a piece of paper, wherever! Hold up the sign, take a picture and again post it and share it everywhere!!! Don’t forget the hashtag #iamhere!
3. There are torture survivors and torture victims all around the world!
Help The Center for Justice and Accountablity (CJA) create a video composed of pictures of signs and statistics -in any language!!!!- in recognizable places around the world! All you have to do is send your photo to mdegaetano@cja.org or post it on CJA’s facebook page!!
